What shoes should I wear horseback riding?

i dont have riding boots so i was wondering what kind of shoes i should wear riding. tennis shoes?? i dont know. please help, im going this friday

boots that cover your ankle and that dont have too much of a heel. if you are doing trail riding for one day tennis shoes would be fine. it depends on the saddle. western-tennis shoes. english-go more with a boot type shoe.

if you don't have boots that you want something that covers your ankles if possible but even more important is something with a pointy toe. that way your feet don't get stuck in the stur-up
