I was injured at an event can i sue the organiser?

Chances are, you have already signed a liability waiver when you signed up for whatever event you were doing. I have never been to a horse event were they have not made all participants sign a liability waiver, which means you CANNOT sue if you get hurt because you are doing it by your own admission. It is strange, though, that there were not any first aid or ambulance workers on the grounds. Most of the shows I go to, they have someone or several people being paid to be there just for that purpose. Either way, you probably can't sue. And off-topic on a rant, I really wish America wasn't so sue-happy. Any time any little thing goes wrong, somebody wants to point a finger and make some cash. It's just sad and petty, in my opinion.

Ya.. Britter has it here.. I raced motocross for 9 years. Signed wavers most of the time. When a person does "this type of thing" Please don't become part of this stupid sue happy society... The first things that happen is.. The organizers will not be able to afford the insurance. And the Event will "Be no more" Next time.... Stay on the damn horse..

Yea if you want, but if it's a minor injury it's really not worth it. What was the injury? Did you break a leg or an arm? if it's just a bruise, suing is not worth it, you'll have money coming out if your pocket for something not worth it.
