How can I get tickets for the serie a Torino-Juventus derby?

How far in advance do you have to wait to get tickets to the Kentucky Derby?

  • How long is the wait? Do you have to order tickets years in advance?

  • Answer:

It is possible to get $40 general admission tickets on the Churchill Downs website. These are standing-room only. They will get you into the paddock area, the public areas under the grandstand, and the infield. Many people love the infield; it is a great big party (some would say a frat party). However, it's difficult to impossible to see the track. Tickets for the seating areas are hard to come by. People purchase seat licenses for the right to buy Oaks and Derby tickets. You may sign up on the CD website to be notified if tickets and/or seat licenses become available. I signed up middle of last year and have received one email that tickets were available. By the time I got it, the tickets were gone. That leaves ticket resellers. They charge well over face value for Derby tickets, but they do have them. Ticket prices are comparable from one reseller to another. The cheapest seat I have found is around $265 for bleacher seating in the back of Section 128, which is at the turn coming into the homestretch. Tickets go up, up, up from there. There is no free parking. If you want the Kentucky Derby experience but don't want to spend the big, big bucks, consider attending on Oaks Day, the day before the Derby. You still have to go through a reseller, but prices are lower. It is great racing and people wear hats. On Derby Day, you could go to Keeneland in Lexington or to another track to wager and watch, or you could throw a Derby party at home. This year Churchill Downs will again host the Breeders' Cup races in November. The racing is excellent and the tickets are much easier to obtain. They will be available at face value. If you want some high-falutin' racing at a historic track, think about going.
