  • Answer:

if you want there are some books that you can buy from the usta website which offer ideas and other ways to drive better in a race, also if you havent already you should try to start working for a well known trainer or driver so you can watch him/her jogg and train the horses which can be very helpful as well, you just cant show up at the track and plann on getting drives nobody will want you driving their horse, so start working at a barn now, which might get you a drive with a trainer or owner. Also in a race dont try to go between two horses if you dont think you can make it go with your first instinct, if your the long shot you might not want to pull early in a race because you horse could "die" and have "no go" at the stretch, but you cant really answer this question because every race is different and not one single drive is the same, go to the track one day and ask some drivers what they did to start racing and what different things they do in the races, it could be helpful
