There are many reasons why a horse bucks you off by riding. it could be that he is being cause pain by the saddle or is just plain mean. judging by what you say about him charging at people I'm guessing he's just plain mean! My idea would be praise him more when you are around him, before you mount pleasure him (Don't mean it to sound like broke-back mountain or anything) but make him feel loved, If he bucks you off get back on, if you are getting bucked off then giving up your showing him that he is in control of you. Whereas if you get bucked off and get back on and try to sit as best you can when he trys to buck you off he'll eventually give up (you might be in pain during this process) When handling i would advise a rope halter or head collar, reward him when he's good and as soon as he tries anything out of order don't beat him, give hima yank on the rope halter. I know it's hard but try no tot show fear as horses can sense fears presence. Bets of luck!

With the horses at my ranch we lunge some them before we get on them. It will get some of the energy out! Lunge him with he's saddle on!

its very common for horses to buck while riding...i have been thrown off many horses and it hurts like hell, the only thing you can really do is not give up and keep riding him, and make sure he knows your in charge....make sure to give him treats when you ride and he doesnt buck and if he does find an appropriate disciplinary action but it takes time for them to get comfortable and realize your not hurting them and theyll enjoy it in time........make sure you show him your not scared from what your saying he seems scared dont ride him for a couple day but stand out side the fence or stall and give him treats and talk to him see if he calms down at all and if you have the money to do so have a trainer see if they can do anything...sometimes it takes a little while for them to gain trust and in return their nature of survival causes them to freak when they feel threatened...you have to break him of that until he notices your not a threat and hell start warming to you and family/friends
