What is 5-wide racing?

Is there any harness racing drivers/trainers that didnt have anything to do with harness racing at a young age?

I just wanted to know if there was any harness racing drivers/trainers who didnt have anything to do with harness racing when they were young as in i mean there parents didnt own any or anything why i ask this is because none of my family have harness racing horses anymore well still one of my relitives do train them! but i really want to become a harness racing driver when i am 16 but since my parents dont own any harness racing how am i ever going to get a horse to drive even in the trails? so i just wnated to know if anyone else even if it wasent you have been thorugh this btw there arent many full time harness trainers around here only part time if that matters
