Horse Racing: Thoughts on keen horseman / Former Monkee Davy Jones death?

Shocking news ..as a native Saratogian I got the pleasure to know Davy Jones as a caring horseman. I would seem at Saratoga often, he was really a great guy who gave a lot of himself and money to help better the industry. I had a Gremlin car and I took this girl to the fair in Fresno and she won the bet and I lost all two times. I really liked her but she had a boyfriend and then they broke it off hmm? we were working in a national park she had black hair. her mom worked their also.

I try to go up to Saratoga yearly, but it doesn't' always work out that way, so it's more like every other year.. it's so Beautiful there, the entire area of Saratoga Springs is top notch..I too had the pleasure of seeing Davy Jones, and actually was able to get his autograph, he fit in that scene perfect..not at all haughty or proud, but very down to earth. I was sadden to hear of his death not only because of the connection with horse racing, but because I enjoyed the weekly show The Monkee back in the day, I watched every Sat..very up-beat. Davy was always a very handsome man more ways than one. RIP.
