Jackson Hole Wyoming. 15 minutes from the airport.Public transport from the airport can be a problem anywhere. Jackson has city bus service to and from the mountain in town. Often large resorts will offer shuttle service to and from the airports. A small fee or often free. Check your hotel. After thanksgiving many of the eastern resorts have deascent snow. Most are considerable distance from large airports.

Norway! Its awesome for guaranteed snow and pretty sure that public transport is available, otherwise you can always go and do some skiing at a small resort called Les Mosses which is only two hours train ride from Geneva airport. Got a chalet up there and it will just about last u for a weekend. No snow for at least two months so don't expect to go soon!
