What kind of Ice skates are good for figure skating?

What kind if ice skates are good for figure skating?

  • For someone that is just starting out.

  • Answer:

http://skate-buys.com/icefigeq.html Click on entry level figure skates. If you are just starting out these should be fine. Once you start getting to the point where you are jumping or doing advanced moves. You will need to get better skates with more support. Remember to buy skates that are 1 size less than your shoe size. They will be uncomfortable for awhile but you will get used to them. If you buy too big it gets dangerous because they slip too much. I would recommend getting a skate that is in the 70 to 100 dollar range. The ones that are cheaper then that have absolutly no support.

Jackson boots all the way up to their "freestyle" boots (those might be to stiff for you) Also, Redials (sp) are very good beginner boots.
