What music should I have for my floor routine in gymnastics?

Does anyone have a good ideo for gymnastics floor routine music?

  • I'm a gymnast and im looking for really good music for my floor routine. I've run out of ideas for music... please help me

  • Answer:

Well, it always matters what the routine looks like. The music has to go with the movements and stunts. Take a song that you like and go to a studio or your coach and they can mix it and make it your own, that is what many girls do. Use older music, not something current you'd hear on the radio. If your routine is upbeat, use an upbeat tempo. If it is more graceful, do something a little slower. I am a Queen fan, and I used this song for a routine, "Under Pressure", by Queen. I am sure you have heard it, if you haven't, look it up. It's got a good beat to move. I did their "Bohemian Rhapsody", and it was a mess, I think I ruined the song. "Another One Bites the Dust" is good too. This might sound funny, but the soundtrack to "Monsters Inc." is great for floor routines, very jazzy and fun! This can also sound funny, but NSYNC's "I Need Love" is good for floor and cheer routines. If you still can't find anything, ask your coach. Good luck!

Try music by Henry Mancini. "The Pink Panther" theme music makes a really good routine.
