  • Answer:

Try First Choice or Thomsons/Crystal. They are the big companies who take on loads of staff at this time. I have done two Winter seasons with these companies

Where do you want to work, Europe or the US? Think you might be too late to apply to most of the US resorts... but if you want to do that next year you apply around May / June to the ski resort on their website, and then they sponsor you for an H2B visa. In Europe, if you've got an EU passport you can just pitch up at the resort you want to work at and then trawl round the bars and stuff looking for work. Alternatively, try contacting the ski companies in the UK before you go to see if they need reps and stuff.

A number of the resorts in the Alps have their own website, and have a section you can click on to enquire about resort jobs. You could try searching some individual large ski resorts on Google, finding their main site and then looking at job vacancies. I have seen some recently but I'm afraid I can't remember which resorts they were for... try Courchevel, Verbiers, Meribel, Chamonix, Zermatt. Alternatively, you could enquire with travel agents about vacancies - maybe chalet work or being a rep. Have a look on the big ski operator websites like www.ifuski.co.uk Good luck and enjoy the slopes!!! I can't wait to get my skis out either! :-)

Western US ski resorts are always looking for dedicated workers. Pick an area and apply by phone or online. Some resorts do not offer quarters so be sure to ask. I applied for a cooking job at Snowbird, Utah, and got hired in Feburary, so its always possible.

Natives. I'd get in contact with them. They always have loads of jobs available. Alternatively take a look in the classifieds of the ski/board mags in WHSmiths.

go online to the resort's webpage...almost all will have a section that says "resort opportunities" almost all of them include a section about internationals applying for jobs there, and almost all the workers at US resorts are internationals. unfortunately it is a bit late in the season and most resorts have stopped hiring (especially internationals) I would start though by checking out the ski resort sites for the areas you might want to work...I would try Colorado, Utah and California results first.
