  • How do i get big snowboard sponsorships to look at me like burton. what can i do to get sponsored. this will be my second year snowboarding, and now that ive gotten the basics i want start working towards a sponsorship. how can i do that, esspessally in halfpipes.

    Being sponsored isn't all it's crack-up to be. Just ride and have fun. If you are good enough people will notice. The best way to get noticed is to compete. Another way to get noticed is to make a video and send it in to companies you'd like to sponsor you. Another way is to rule it so much that photographers start taken pictures of you and those pics make it into magazines. But trust me, being sponsored isn't all that fun. It will turn what you love (snowboarding) into a job. Yeah, you'll get paid for it but you'll have to ride where, how and what someone else tells you. Photo shoots are all about, "hurry up and wait." I've never been so cold and frustrated as I have been on a photo shoot waiting for the light to be right. Just ride, have fun and if you are good enough someone will notice or suggest you seek out sponsorship. Too many kids these days think being sponsored is the end-all and be-all of snowboarding. If you've only got a single year under your belt you've got a looooong way to go before you should even be considering trying to get sponsored.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you probably have a long way to go to get sponsered. Anyways, dont snowboard for a sponsership. It's good enough just being able to have good times with your friends shreadding. Check out a snowboard vid if you can do that $#!% yea you can get sponsered, but probably not with only 2 years under your belt.

well u need to practice... iv been snowboarding for 9 years and i jus got sponsored. the main thing is to enter competitions of all kinds. freestyle, pipe, and jib jams. enter comps. at different mountains, not just the same one. to get noticed u need to go big or go home basically, catch the crowds eye, and just have fun..

Just ride, and sponsorship will take care of itself if you are good enough. Sposorship is iverrated anyway. Why are you snowboarding? To get as much free stuff as you can or for the fun of it. If you are just doing it for free stuff, quit now. Go get a job on wall street and you'll make enough money to buy it all.

this is my third and im working toward sponsors. i suggest you just practice another year or two, you gotta be really good. the basics arent enough. i'll probably be able to 540 soon. after you've practiced a couple more years then all you can do is compete, hope the sponsers are there and notice you, and then practice some more. did i mentoin you need to practice? yes? well ill say it again. you need to practice. im working toward 540s and then i might have a chance at getting noticed after i practice a little more on top of that. by the way im gonna go to college and get a bussiness/phisics major and start the next big board company and when that happens, ill sponsor you

Well, first you have to get good. I mean, look at who the burton team riders are: Jeremy Jones, Hannah Teter, Sean White, Gigi Ruff etc... these guys are really good. The best way to get noticed is to start entering and, more importantly, winning competitions. So find some comps that are open to amatuers and enter. Some invitationals also have an amateur qualifier before the main competition.
