What level of seating in an arena is best to watch curling?

  • My mom and I are buying some tickets for my aunt to go see the Tim Horton's Brier 2011 as it is in our home town this year and she's a really big fan of curling. I am buying the tickets online and it give me the option to choose if I want seating on level 100, level 200 or level 300, and I am not sure which one would be best. I am looking at the seating map, and I understand that level 100 are the seats closer to the ice, and that level 300 is higher up. So my question is, for anyone who is a curling fan or not, would it be preferred to be seated closer to the ice, or to be higher up so that you can see the entire ice? (And money is not an issue, I know some seats are more money but the tickets are fairly cheap and we are splitting the costs anyways!)

    If you sit too high it is extremely difficult to see the game on the sheet closest to you. If you sit low you will be able to see the fist few sheets very well but may have trouble seeing both ends and the far sheets. It is up to you what you would like. Personally lower middle or high end is my choice, but everyone has different opinions! Have an amazing time...I'm jealous

First of all, I'm jealous that you are going and I can't :) I'd go for a little higher up so you can see the entire sheet. There are usually monitors so you can get a good look at the rock as it enters the house.
