What to do about a peeling burn?

Curling iron burn that is now peeling! HELP!?

i burnt myself realllllly bad with my curling iron last week. its not just a small spot, its about as big as a large spoon. it is now peeling, actually its pretty much done peeling. its just bare, fresh, raw skin that hurts to the touch. BAD! i can barely sleep at night. should i keep it opened to air out, or should i cover it up? any advice is greatly appreciated :) P.S at this point im not even concerned about scarring. i know scarring is going to happen. i just dont know how to treat such raw skin. i will deal with the scarring later.
