Has anyone been to the King Tut exhibit?

Camera in king tut exhibit?

  • i am going to a field trip to dallas to go see the king tut exhibit, which is a once in a lifetime experience.... but the question is.. can i take a camera?? i don't mind not using flash but i would really like to keep pictures of the trip.

  • Answer:

SORRY - No photography in the Exhibit!! I took a look at their link. No food, drink or photos. You can take photos OUTSIDE the exhibt (of you and your friends - I guess). There was an audio guide listed for rent at $7.00 -- I'd definitely go to the expense of renting one. http://www.kingtut.org/ExhibitionFaq You will love it - I saw the tour back in 1979 in Seattle; it was GREAT!

Of course you should be able to take a camera along with you. Most museums do not allow cameras to be used in their exhibits because it creates bottle necks in the queues of people waiting to pass through. you will be able to buy a little book of photos of the exhibit, anyway, and use your camera just for the trip memoirs. You will really enjoy this amazing display. Take note of the colours used in the paintwork. How many different colours can you count?

it should have a sign if not.
