Who gets the Queens speech?

  • I was taking a gander at the tele pages for Christmas day and saw the Queens speech, i had never realized before but apparently some Common Wealth countries get it to. So my question, which countries get the Queens speech? And is it at the same time, and does it contain exactly the same thing?

    well i dont know about other countries but i do know that ireland doesn't get it thank god...no offence but we've had enough british interference for one lifetime

The Queen's speech is broadcast to all countries where she is head of State and I believe also to other Commonwealth countries where she is not head of state as the message is supposed to be to the Uk and the Commonwealth. Myrtle - I thought Ireland could get the BBC channels?

Myrtle Why on earth would she want to speak to you lot, she is nothing to do with you. The Queens speech is for the UK and the Commonwealth.
