What should be on my resume to apply to H&M?

Is Angela Kelly still designing frocks for HM the Queen?

  • Does Ms. Kelly continue to design frocks for HM since designing the fabulously radiant ensemble in canary yellow that HM wore to the wedding of TRH the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge? After reading the rave reviews for the ensemble that came from the fashion houses of Paris, New York, Milan, Hong Kong, and Kiev I do hope that Ms. Kelly is continuing to serve as lady in waiting. Her taste level is impeccable in the way she had HM foray her millinery to elongate HM's Germanic facial accoutrements. A star is born in Ms. Kelly as she hand embroidered the beaded sunburst around HM's brocade collar. Was HM donning shimmer hosiery on that day of glory for the realm? HM dons a frock best when her ample bosom is supported inconspicuously as Ms. Kelly seems to know well. The boxiness of HM's frocks has been cast to the winds by Ms. Kelly's fresh approach to designing a frock that contours tierfully more than boxes in! Is Ms. Kelly still employed by the Queen as lady in waiting of the wardrobe?

  • Answer:

For granddaughter Zara Philips wedding to Mike Tindall July 30, 2011, the Queen wore an apricot coat and dress designed by Stewart Parvin, who also designed Zara's bridal gown. Kelly, however, designed Princess Beatrice's turqoise fitted jacket dress. The Queen also wore a white ensemble designed by Angela Kelly for the opening day of Royal Ascot in June. P. S. -- Obviously, without any inside information, the only way to determine whether Ms Kelly is still employed by the Queen is to scan recent online newspaper articles that mention what the Queen is wearing. A. W., Alison Pordoum is the Queen's former in-house dressmaker (Alson Pordum Couture, 2011, http://www.alisonpordum.co.uk/ ).

'Her clothes are made by a variety of London designers -- Stewart Parvin, Peter Erione, Karl Ludwig Rehse. Her hats are often commissioned from the legendary milliner Freddie Fox. But the greatest influence on the queen's style [...] is her dresser. This position used to belong exclusively -- and somewhat unorthodoxly -- to the queen's Scottish nanny, Margaret "Bobo" MacDonald, who would oversee all her costumes. Today, it's the preserve of senior dresser Angela Kelly, and the queen's dressmaker Alison Pordum. Together, the two women decide what the monarch will wear to the various events scheduled on her overseas visits.' http://abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=3132631&page=2 P.S. You disappoint me. It's "lady-in-waiting". I used to think your spelling was impeccable. @ Evelyn S: You are right. My information was not up to date.

I hope not, that yellow number was a disaster, dull, frumpy and dated.
