What should be on my resume to apply to H&M?

Would HM the Queen don this?

  • If I were honoured enough to be one of HM the Queen's ladies of the wardrobe and I chose this ensemble for HM, might HM don it? Here is a description of what I think HM would look lovely in and the imagined occasion where she would don the ensemble: A peacock-blue silk full-length ballgown (with crinoline underneath the skirt to add volume) with silver embroidered embellishment at the hem and collar. The gown's long sleeves would be sheer peacock-blue transparent silk with opaque silk cuffs (cuffs in same material as frock bodice). The waistline of the gown would be empire waist. From the waistline at the back of the gown, a train would cascade downward. On HM's head would rest Queen Mary's tiara with a shoulder-length veil cascading backward from underneath the tiara down HM's nape. The veil would be made out of the same sheer peacock-blue transparent silk as the frock's sleeves. HM would have her hair rolled up at her nape in a small chignon with sterling silver comb holding the hair in place. HM would don dyed-to-match peacock-blue silk kitten-heeled pumps with silver embroidered embellishment on them like that on the hem and collar of the frock. Her hosiery would be shimmery silver silk. Her handbag would be made in the same peacock-blue silk as her frock. Pinned to HM's gown would be HM the Queen Mother's coronation brooch. I know you must be wondering with anticipation to what event I would suggest HM don this ensemble. I would have her don the ensemble to the wedding of HRH the Princess Beatrice! Can you not see this vision of regal majesty as she processed proudly down the aisle of the cathedral to witness her granddaughter marriage ceremony? I very much look forward to your replies as to whether you think HM would not look lovely in this ensemble and as to whether I would not be a superb lady of the wardrobe.

Never mind the naysayers, dear Sunny! You know, it never ceases to amaze me just how nasty some people on this forum can be. It is a trait most unbecoming of a regal category such as this. Now, though one is not quite an expert in the whole fashion area, what you have suggested sounds perfectly agreeable to this Noble Lord. One is certain that Her Majesty would most definitely approve of such a tasteful ensemble.

First off: the Queen has *no* such attendants as "ladies of the wardrobe", so you're way off beam from the beginning. (There is a Mistress of the Robes, but hers is a purely ceremonial role - she is a duchess and she does no dressing or choosing or looking after clothes.) The Queen has several regular clothes designers who make things in styles they know she likes and that are appropriate to the occasions they are worn for; but the actual choosing of outfits day-to-day is between her and her dresser, Angela Kelly. (Who no doubt has assistants to help looking after the clothes.) See the links. And trust me, if the Queen needed a new assistant dresser and you applied, on this showing you wouldn't even get to the first interview. Before we even start on the attractiveness or suitability to HM's figure and colouring of the eye-watering assault of blue you suggest, anybody who could even suggest putting a crinoline under an empire line bodice in real life (as opposed to a catwalk fantasy), let alone someone who doesn't realise that for anyone but the bride to wear a tiara, a veil and a full-length gown at a wedding is howlingly improper, is blatantly unsuitable for any job that involved choosing clothes for people!

I truly hope that you are a troll who is deliberately trying to produce terrible overwriting. If only you were also good at comic writing. I'd like to laugh at this, but it's just too awful. Alas, it's not cleverly and humorously awful.

I have absolutely no interest in ladies fashion, be it the Queen or anyone else but, all that peacock blue? Is it fashionable to have all that blue, or all of any one colour?

Dr, Sir Ichiban.

empire waist with crinoline??? WHY??? She would look like a cow bell...

HM the queen of WHERE? There are about 50 queens (real ones) in the world, today...so, you need to be a bit more specific. Re your comment to Lili...I'm pretty sure she knows you well enough...as do we all. I don't believe you when you say that you are interested in fashion. I believe you are just looking for attention...it's called TROLLING.
