What are political views of British royals?

Has Queen Elizabeth or any of her children made known any of their views on same sex marriage or Gay rights?

  • I know that the Royals generally stay out of political or otherwise controversial issues. But they have been known to express themselves indirectly, subtly, or in some round-about way. Or at least some viewpoints could be related through other people. The Queen is the head of The Church Of England, and we all know that issues of human sexuality are a real dividing point for a great many people in the Church. So I was wondering what the Queen or her family had to say about these things? Do we know anything about their views on these matters?
