How do most people pay online?

How come people who are single pay more taxes vs people who have children?

  • is it me, but shouldn't people who have children pay just as much since they send their children to school and stuff. How come we single people pay 30% and they pay 11%. Cant we all just pay 20% since that would even out the difference? I just kinda think it's unfair is all.

  • Answer:

People with children pay less taxes because they get exemptions for them, which reduces their taxable income. This is done because parents have expenses that single people without kids won't have. As far as sending their kids to school, public schools are funded via property taxes, not income taxes.

They can afford it more. Someday you will probably have children and be on the other side. That's the way it has always been. Live with it.
