Tax refund Direct Deposit?

Is there some type of software problem between Turbo Tax and direct deposit refund from Fed taxes?

  • I did my refund on 1/26, accepted on 1/27. On 1/30 the IRS "where's my refund" site stated my refund would be 2/5. Earlier today the site said 2/9 and now it says 2/16. My state refund was direct deposited on 2/3! I've used Turbo Tax for three years and NEVER had any problem. I'm going to have a lot of bounced checks. Turbo Tax doesn't respond to any contacts I've made with them and will never use them again.

If you get an answer to this let me know because the same thing happened to us and we use Turbo Tax as well. We filed on the 26 and was accepted the next day with a deposit date of 2/5. This date was according to the Where is my refund and the schedule of when checks and deposits are sent. Later that day it moved to 2/9 and the day after that 2/16. I have read a lot of posts where people have said the same thing happened to them. BTW my state taxes came in within 3 days after being accepted.

That's not a TurboTax problem. Once your e-filed return has been accepted by the IRS, it's out of TurboTax's control. The IRS has slipped your refund date. The bounced checks are your fault. Never spend money until you verify that it's in your account.
