I got a 1098 T form and the only box filled out is #5 for scholarships/ grants....should I still fill it?
-
I get a pell grant to pay for school. I don't pay anything out of pocket. Does this form help me out or hurt me when it comes to my taxes?
-
Answer:
It's proof of income so it doesn't help. But usually educational expenses are deductible against that income so it shouldn't make any difference when it's all said and done.
