Sales tax question... who has to collect sales tax, me or my drop-shipper?
-
i am starting an online business, business is setup as drop-shipped process. my customers will buy from my website (i am a Canadian citizen) and the items will be shipped out from US (Kansas city) so my question is, who should collect the sales tax, my partner in US or i should? products are all American local and the sales will be worldwide... who will be entitled to pay sales tax and who doesn't have to...?

Answer:
You do. Your dropshipper cannot collect the correct amount as he's you are buying from them and reselling to the ultimate consumer at a higher rate and the sales tax is at the higher rate.
