How do i collect money from my mom?

Any way i can collect Money from my mom thru taxes?

• Im turnin 17 october 24th & ive been living with my grandma for the past year an half. Mom doesn't keep in contact with me, no money for clothes (im still wearing clothes from 9th grade, & im a senior now), im still legally her guardian , she didnt sign any papers or nothing so the government thinks im still with her & she's raising me but she's not. Ive techincally been on my own since my grandma doesnt do **** for me either, but give me a roof over my head. & i just wanted to know if there was any way I could get the state to make her give me some money somehow so i can help myself , and support myself. Because she does not deserve everything she has, for the life she's given me. I need pay back, & i need whats mine to be mine. If you feel where im coming from.

  First off, grandma's providing a roof over your head is fairly significant. It's called part of your support. If you live with grandma, are under 19 and do not provide more than half of your own support, then grandma can claim you on her taxes if she has income. Your mother isn't eligible because she'd have to prove she provided more than half of your support before she can claim you as a qualifying relative...and then that only works if grandma has $0 earned income.
