Ebay sales taxes? How does that work?
-
I starting selling stuff on ebay like old phones and movies. And i heard you can make a business out of it and im really interested in doing that. My question is ive been reading about how to do a business off of ebay. And i saw a thing about sales tax. Do i have to pay sales tax or does ebay already pay that for me.. Or do i have to get a taxs ID number..

Answer:
If you are running a business you have to get the tax number. You collect the tax and pay it to your state. This is usually only for sales inside your state. If you sell out of your state you don't collect the taxes. That's just sales tax. Income tax is another story. Running a business is much more complicated than most people think.
