Does the Federal Reserve Pay Taxes?

Why doesnt the federal reserve Pay Taxes, they are a private business?

  • YET, they would have all of us minimum wage surfs pay taxes and enforce a "Carbon tax" to be implement on us through United Nations international treaties, Isnt this hypocritical?

  • Answer:

They aren't really a private business. You have been reading too many conspiracy theories. The Federal Reserve is required to return all surpluses to the US Government's General Fund. This, in effect, gives them a tax rate of 100%.

The Fed isn't a private business. But for sake of your grossly uninformed position, let's assume that it is a private business. Since any and all profits are plowed straight back into the US Treasury, there's no profit to be taxed. Looked at from another angle, since the profits go back to the Treasury, the tax rate would be 100%. Some private business, huh? Carbon tax? From the Fed? LMAO! My 7th grade civics teacher taught us that only Congress can pass laws, according to Article 1, Section 8 of The Constitution. Guess you slept through that year, huh? Hypocritical? Hardly, but I'm seeing a boatload of ignorance. Education will cure that pretty quickly. I'd suggest that you go back to school.
