Who has a better career: chartered Accountant or Doctor?

I have some questions about being accountant? :) please help?

  • I'm in grade 10 and I need to make my decison about my futur career jobs. I wanted to be a doctor ever since i was a kid but I know my math and science won't be good enough to compete with the others. Now i'm thinking about accounting. Do need to be good at math for accounting? I'm a very active person, would I get bored and less interested in the job after a few years. I live in Toronto, Ontario. what are some good universities I can take? I need just some information :) if you do not think an accountant is suitable for me, then what do you suggest that makes good money? thanks in advance, everyone!

  • Answer:

For accounting you need to be good at detail work. Most of the math would be done by computers, and would be pretty basic math anyway, mostly addition and subtraction.

Your in tenth grade and shouldn't be worrying yourself over career choices. Enjoy your youth while you can and concentrate on getting good grades for now. As for being an accountant? It's ALL MATH! There are alot of different careers that earn good money. I suggest you talk with your school guidance counselor for advice. That is what they are there for.
