Is "released from customs" the last step in shipping?

Why does it the Into Foreign Customs take so long and should I pay tax for Belgium.?

  • Hi there,I'm a buyer from Ebay,live in Belgium.I bought a Skimboard from America.It cost me $201.00 incl. shipping. Now... I checked USPS: Track & Confirm and this is what it says: Into Foreign Customs, June 28, 2010, 9:09 am, BELGIUM Into Foreign Customs, June 26, 2010, 2:08 pm, BELGIUM Arrived Abroad, June 26, 2010, 2:08 pm, BELGIUM International Dispatch, June 24, 2010, 7:06 pm, ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) Arrival Acceptance, June 22, 2010, 4:16 pm, LEAGUE CITY, TX 77573 Electronic Shipping Info Received, June 22, 2010 Now the last step is Into Foreign Customs, it already stands there for a few days should I be worried? And do I need to pay tax for my delivery?I live in Belgium. Thank you and please help me!!!

    You need to check the IMPORT DUTIES laws for your country. A quick search on google should find them for you. Customs can take a while, depending on how backed up they are. Duties depend on what the item is and how much it is worth. Depending on your laws, you may very well have to be pay duty/taxes on this.
