Did i get charged from ebay?

Will I get charged duty on something bought on ebay from uk?

• I'm new to ebay and just realized what about duty and tax?! do have to pay it on my purchase: $32.07 approx (give or take a cents)? or will it be exempt. There's nothing on ebay talking about tax or duty, and the emails I was sent from both ebay and the seller say nothing about being prepared for it. I live in Canada (alberta to be exact) and the incase macbook sleeve is come from Lancashire in the uk. It's being sent by royal mail. Also if I have to pay it will it automatically come off the credit card I paid for it with, or do I pay it at the post office? Thanks :)

  I've purchased many things on Ebay from around the world. Here in Canada the value (Cdn $ value calculated if foreign currency) that has been declared by the sender will determine if duties or taxes are charged. I believe the duty free limit is only $20 Cdn for mail import. I have had more expensive items not require duties though. Used items and those marked as gifts. I've had sellers put the value very low to save me duties as well. Some items are duty free as well. If you are charged duties/taxes/handling fee you will have a separate Government Tax form on the package. You will have to pay this before you can accept the package. Hope this helps.
