How to add tax to subtotal?

How do you add tax to a price?

  • So im buying this bikini and the price of it is 24.90 for the top and 24.90 for the bottoms and tax where i live is 13% so how to i add it to find out the price of the bikini? How much is tax in ontario? Is it 13 % or 14%?

  • Answer:

    $24.90 +24.90 ------------ $ 49.80 x 8% (PST) ------------ $ 3.98 $ 49.80 x 5% (GST) ------------- $ 2.49 Total: $49.80+$3.98+$2.49 = $56.27 Ontario's taxes totals 13% (8% PST + 5% GST), but you have to calculate them separately.

Well its very simple, my friend! Your cost is 24.90 for the top and 24.90 for the bottom, Total cost= 49.8 Tax if [13%] then = 49.8*0.13=~6.5 Total cost= 49.8+6.5=56.3 Tax if [14%] = ~7 Total cost= ~56.8

Just turn the percent into a decimal and multiply. The price plus 13 percent would be the price times 1.13
