I want to do college in the UK but live in us.

I want to help my canadian nephew neice go to college I live in the uk. Will a money gift be taxed?

I am not sure of the tax systems in Canada, so would like to know about bank account I could pay into to help them with their fees.
Answer:

A gift of money will not be taxed. If your nephew invests the money, and income he earns with it will be subject to tax.
