Where should I sign the Income Tax Forms?

Confused with income tax refund forms (AB, Canada)?

  • Okay, so I worked in Alberta this summer and I just got my t4 in the mail. I'm totally confused with this whole income tax thing and what forms I have to fill out. I've looked at the Alberta finance government website and the Canadian revenue agency website and I'm still confused.. I just want to get my money back LOL, can anyone point me in the right direction of what form to get? Just the tax forms for personal/individual income tax refunds (I believe I need a federal and provincial form?) THANKS!

  • Answer:

From your state of confusion, it sounds like you haven't filed a return before. If so, you must file your first one on paper. Go to your local post office, get the tax return package, and start filling it out. If all you want is to "get your money back", then you must file your return.

Other answers

You file a tax return. You file the one for the province where you lived as of December 31. You can get a full set of forms at your local post office.
