How much do i get from centerlink youth allowance?

Can I get a combined Youth Allowance and Rent Assistance from Centrelink?

• I'm looking to move out and was wondering do Centrelink combine payments of Youth Allowance and Rent Assistance? I'm on YA now... Furthermore, I'm nearly 21, so will they still do New Start Allowance and Rent Assistance combined aswell?

  Hi,I just went through all this myself a month ago lol.I moved out of my in-laws to my own place which iam renting.Now all you have to do is,go into center link,once you have got your lease agreement from your landlord and get a form called rent assistance.Fill it out,get your landlord or real state agent to sign the back part,and take it back with your copy of your lease.Once that has been processed which is straight away,your rent assistance should come in once a fortnight with your pay if your on fortnightly payments. So depending on how much rent you pay a week,center link will balance out what they can give you to help you out.Im paying 150.00 a week rent,and center link is paying me a extra 74.00 a fortnight for assistance. Also,call the department of housing because they can help you with your bond which is alot cheaper.Good luck
