What is tax return and how it works?

What can I claim on tax for my tax return as a driller that works remote areas for up to 9 weeks at a time?

• I work in remote areas of Australia for up to 9 weeks at a time away from my wife we live in bush camps out of tents I was told that I could claim tent , camping gear ,sleeping bags does this meen if I buy a genrotor I can claim that as camp has no power and we also use our own tools And does any one know of a good tax ageant in south oz that handles minnig tax returns can any one give me a list of things I can and can't claim on tax please this is in Australia not the USA
