What is French for "entitled?

Unable to work...What am i entitled too?

  • In september 2009 I was signed off work with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), This illness has really affected my daily living. In June I saw a consultant who has told me that i am unable to go back to work untill my body has become more aware of the illness ect. He also said that due to hypoglycemis diabetic coma I suffered 18months ago it is possible that I have a low grade of brain damage. My GP and Consultant told me to look and claiming benefits untill they allow me to return to work, I don't no what I am entitled to but the job center have put me on a benefit call employment and support allowance at £50 a week, is this all I am entitled to? I have rent to pay and all the bill ect. I am stuck and don't no what to do.can anyone shed some light thanks

  • Answer:

if the jobcentre have said your fit for work you can appeal the decision depending on how long ago this happened. if your signed off longterm you should be on esa support not work allowance. this replaced incapacity allowance last october. you could try claiming DLA if the damage is permanent and disabling , you can apply online through directgov.co.uk , they will contact your doctor, consultants etc, look at all the evidence and make a decision based on the info they collect from your medical reports from the specialists. it can take about 12 weeks for a decision. if your on esa you should be getting housingbenefit and council tax benefit, so ask why they have not sorted this out for you
