i am already 16 but my national insurance wasn't done on time so i had to phone them up for it. and i was wondering if the workplace would take me if i could prove i was 16 and if i could present my national insurance when it's arrived?

Answer:
In the UK an employer is NOT required to insist on a valid NI No. Start the job, fill in a P46 and the system will generate a temporary NINo for you. We will also search the database for your correct number

that would be up to the discretion of the employer but if they didn't receive it within the 1st week or so then they wouldn't be able to legally employ you
