Things for a college student to do in the summer?

UK Question: Am i entitled to any benefits during the summer holidays while off college?

• So im 18 and a full time student and i work part time. I want to rent a flat by myself due to circumstances at home. The council says Im not entitled to any benefits whatsoever (Meanwhile the wasters get everything under the sun i.e. money house etc. and the junkies get FREE taxis to get their FREE methodone because they spent HARDWORKING peoples tax money on drugs!!!!). They say Im not allowed anything because Im doing a HND at college, but college is closed for almost 3months for summer so technically I wont be a student then...will I? Am i entitled to things like housing benefit during those 3 months Im "not a student" Ive worked it all out and with the money I make I wouldnt be able to afford moving into a flat by myself until i went back to college in september but I dont think I can wait that long :-/ So wot I want to know is if Im entitled to anything ... doesnt matter how small amount, in this case "every little helps" :p
