Why should we pay VAT on amazon market place..?
-
If its second hand then i have already paid VAT buying the item. In businesses the VAT gets passed down from the manufacturer to the store then to the customer so why do i need to pay it twice when i sell it on.
-
Answer:
When you sell on Amazon Marketplace you do not have to pay VAT unless you are VAT registered. If you are VAT registered but buy your second-hand tems from a non-VAT registered person, then you haven't paid VAT at that point. I understand that VAT would have been paid at some point in that items life, but YOU haven't paid it.
