Employer told me there are no P60, Please advise what am I supposed to do ? Do I tell tax office I did not work with employer who did not pay tax to tax office but we all paid to employer?? Answer:
For a start, you can't download form P60, as it is only one part of a three part form, two parts of which are sent to HMRC. Even if you could, HMRC would check up to see where employer's copies were, and why there was no employer's return submitted with which to cross reference. Why did tax office ask you for form P60? Did you ask for repayment, or are they trying to update your employment history? There will no repayment without a form P60. You can ignore request, let things go on as they are if you are afraid of losing job, and keep paying tax and NIC for which you do not receive credit. If you report situation to HMRC, your employer will not be told from where complaint came. If employer not submitting required information and payments to tax office, it may not be known by them he is employing. Staff will not know what is going on unless they are told, therefore employer will not get pursued. Surely it is better to find another job than continuing to work for this shyster? If you tell porkies to tax office, they will want to know how you are maintaining yourself. What will you tell them then?

if you have paid your employer tax then he should have passed that on to the tax office with his own coontributions from your wages, i think he probably kept it and you have been paying him part of your wages. you should probably speak to someone in the tax office about this as if not, they investigate....... you do not claim benefits but you do not pay tax, where does your money come from? they will look into it and you might recieve a serious bill from them

Sorry to catecrash the question, with a mere observation, but your last line, "I live in the uk" is a damming incitment, on the political mistakes of the last 20 years governments. Yes, tell the inland revenue you have been working, who for, and stop this person, probably a foreigner themselves, or an exploiter and shiester at least, from defrauding the uk economy further.

I would download P60 form from the Internet and fill it in and send it to the tax office. Then you have done what they have asked. The tax office need this information in order to pursue the issue with your boss. The downside of this, is that you may put your boss and yourself out of work.......

Hi You haven't done anything wrong. Your employer has been deducting tax (and probably national insurance) from you, and not paying it to the tax office. He has kept the money for himself. He should have given you a P60 to show how much you were paid and how much tax was deducted from you. Because he was deducting tax from you, you didn't know anything was wrong until recently, when he told you not to tell the tax office. If you don't reply to the tax office, they will estimate your pay, and then charge you tax you on it. This is not fair because your employer has already deducted it from you. The tax office will not chase your employer until they know what has happened. Send your payslips (if you have any) to the tax office and tell them that you have not been given a P60. You should also tell them that your employer asked you not to tell the tax office. Tell them that you thought everything was okay until now, because tax has been deducted from you. I would also try talking to your employer. You could tell him that you have to reply to the tax office, because they will try to make you pay the tax again. He might decide it would be better for him to pay the tax office now and give you a P60, then wait for the tax people to start asking him questions. I do think you should look for a new job, because your employer is cheating you. If they do not pay your tax, they might also cheat you in other ways, like sack you for no reason. Good luck
