How do I declare a one-off payment for tax purposes?
-
I work full time for NHS and pay tax and NI through my employer. I have just received a payment from Mills and Boon for £2500. I don't expect to be getting anymore. How do I pay tax and NI on this amount? 5 phone calls to the tax office today and I'm none the wiser. A straight answer would be very much appreciated.

Answer:
Hard one - write in - include all the identifiers, name, NINo, date of birth addrerss. Say in your letter what u said here and ask for instructions. It will go to a terchnician and the tech will get back to you. Include phone numbers because we'll try to sort by phone if any questions. Could be a code restriction or a payment - either way ty for being honest.
