Is it easy to get a job for the first time?

I applied for job seekers allowance, signed on for the first time last thursday when will i get my first pay?

    Depends how long it takes them to sort everything out properly.I was made redundant 4 weeks ago claimed straight away and just had my first payment this monday just gone.It does get backdated to when you first claimed.If unsure phone them up that's what i did last week and they told me the date i would be paid and how much. After your first payment it's everyfortnight after that.

When i first applied they told me I would get it three working days after i signed in. This is the expected arrival of money after admin. However in reality they don't give a toss about how important money is to you and my experience was 3 weeks. A big struggle whilst waiting but i got a lump sum. I suggest keeping an eye on your account and if after 3 working days it is not in your account then get on their case. ring them go down to office and pester till its sorted!
