Working Hours For A 15 Year Old?

I am starting a job that pays £18400 a year but will only be working 15 hours a week.?

    Actually, it depends on what your organisation considers to be full-time, as this is what determines your "hourly rate". Other Answerers have shown you how to calculate this - you divide your salary by 52 (weeks per year) and then divide this figure by how many hours your organisation considers to be full-time. In the UK, most private sector organisations consider 37.5 hours full-time, but public sector considers 35 hours full-time. But it does vary. So this gives you an hourly rate, and then you multiply this by 15 (hours worked). So assuming 37.5 hours is considered full-time in your organisation, then you would be earning an hourly rate of £9.45, which translates to a weekly salary of £141.54 or an annual salary of £7,360.

If £18400 is the wage for an average week (40 hours) then you work out what the wage is per hour. 15/40*100= 37.5. Therefore you're entitled to 37.5% of the wage 18400/100*37.5 =6900. £6,900 a year.

It depends - it the full time hours are 37 per week then the hourly rate would be £9.56. So if you were working 15 hours per week you would get £143.40 per week £7456.80 per year This would be slightly lower if the full time wage was based on 40 hours per week

It will be roughly around 7,000 pounds a year, however as the threshold is £6,000 for tax, you will get to keep most of it. You should expect to TAKE HOME each month around £500 after tax and contributions are taken into account. Perhaps slightly more (but not much).

£18400 divided by 52 weeks =£353.87 a week divide by 15 hours = £23.59 an hour. Nice work if you can get it luv!
