Is it easy to get a job for the first time?

When will my job seekers allowance get paid for the first time?

  • I signed on for the first time on Monday 23rd March. I just would like to know how long it is before you recieve your first payment. A friend told me you get paid the following week after you sign on for the second time but other people have said different. Does anybody know?

    I believe it will be in your bank next week .. (assuming you gave them your bank details and they manage to enter them into their Computer correctly ..) NB. If you just lost your job, you won't get JSA until your Notice period runs out ..

They usually have a certain day when they pay people. Foe example, i get my money every Thursday. But my friends get there's Friday. If they told you which day that is, see if you get paid this week. If not it probably will be next week.Think it depends, how long it takes them to process it
