If a receive a package from china to the uk do i have to pay tax?

Hello could some one answer do I have to pay tax or duty on a package that is coming from china to me in the UK? It is being delivered by EMS and the dimentions of the package is 37* 28* 8* CM and weighs 3.5 kg Many thanks

Hi there, You should ask the Sender to mark the package as a 'Gift' on the CN22 Customs Declaration Form and declare the 'Value' as below £18.00. This way you avoid Tax. Of course some who like to lick H.M.R.C **** won't do it. Take care. Lin. x
