What is the average italian phone bill?

In the UK...if you have a past due phone bill that hasn't been paid what happens to you?

  • I know someone who has an over due phone bill this person lives in London...and he's really concerned about his overdue phone bill. I know in the US if you dont pay it could be added to your credit as an unpayed bill but that is the worst that can happen. What do the do in the UK when a bill goes unpaid for months?

  • Answer:

He'll get a red reminder or two and if he doesn't pay he'll get a black reminder which usually says his phone will be cut off in 7 days or so. I'd guess his credit will be affected but it will depend on the phone company. The best thing to do is for him to call the company and explain he's having trouble paying. Bad debts are common in utility companies and they often will offer a payment plan or sometimes even a settlement (ie: if he pays 75% of the bill now they'll ignore the other 25%).

They send you a reminder and then if left un paid you will get cut off and eventually it would effect credit. If he is planning on paying it and its only just late,he will be fine. If he contacts them and says when he can pay it they will except it.

I think they give you 2 reminders, a final demand, then cut off your connection then if you still don't pay they blacklist you

they'll remind you a few times, and if it remains unpaid, they will cut your phone off. I'm not sure if it goes against your credit though, sorry.
