Do I need to pay US income tax on foreign (UK) earned income?

Do we need to pay income tax on monies earned by selling shares in uk ?

  • Answer:

If you are trading in shares, yes. Otherwise the profit would be within capital gains tax. Unless you are not resident in the UK, when you would be most unlikely to be subject to capital gains tax. iI you are trading in shares as a non-resident the answer would get a bit too complicated to deal with easily here.
