When can you claim Jobseekers Allowance?

Can you still receive a foreign pension if you claim income-based Jobseekers Allowance in the UK?

  • I inherited a pension of approx 125 pounds per month. I don't use it as income per se as I have allocated it to paying off a large debt. If I claim benefit would the DWP consider this as income and reduce my Jobseekers Allowance? I wouldn't be able to use this money as income even if I wanted to and it is from a pension so I'm curious as to what they would consider it as my internet research hasn't helped me much. Help would be appreciated.

  • Answer:

it is income no matter what you use it for. UK

It is certainly income no matter which way you look at it, the fact that you have allocated it to paying off a large debt is neither here nor there. The DWP will consider it as 'income', how much it would affect the JSA i don't know.

125 pounds are not so much but yes it is the great one if you can earn in uk it self. You just need to contact with some of those service provider who can help you to get cash in pension.
