How do you calculate VAT on a spreadsheet?

Vat spreadsheet calculation please for profit?

  • I want to know how much profit I make on a product, taking into account buying and selling vat costs, vat on courier etc. Can anyone give me the correct spreadsheet cells and formulae for the following example :- cost of product to me £11.16 ex VAT cost of ebay fees, 10% of selling price selling price £21.90 cost of courier £4.05 ex VAT what is the amount of my profit in pounds and pence after purchasing and selling the product and sending it via courier, taking both lots of VAT into account, on product and courier, and paying VAT man his cut on the sale and what is my final percentage profit. Since it seems you are unable to do simple arithmetic on your costs and profits, I'm betting your don't even know what Cash Flow is .. so I SERIOUSLY suggest you start looking for a business partner (who does know) before it's too late and your cheques start 'bouncing' and the bailiffs turn up on your doorstep
