What do you meant by part time job?

What benefits is someone entitled to if they do a full time course and don't have the time to hold down a job?

• my partner is in full time education. his course takes up most of his time and he doesn't have enough time to hold down a job, as well. he has minor learning disabilities through ADHD and he was receiving a department of working pensions benefit. he had to fill in a form which he sent through a few weeks ago. i am scared that they have stopped his benefit without warning because it was meant to be in there today but hasn't come in. we have been checking all day. he can't just leave his education but my income alone cannot support us both. my income is only around £310 a month. i am in supported living and i get my rent payed for by housing benefit. other than that i have to pay all the bills. electric is £15 a week and water is £10. what is he entitled to if he's 18 and in full time education? he can't get EMA because he doesn't live with his mum, who earns too much anyway for him to qualify and there would be no point in applying because it stops at 19. just to point out that we don't pay for our internet. our neighbour gave us permission to use his. my partner moving in with his mum again is also out of the question as she lives in another part of the country and his course is up here.

  You should be able to claim exception from council tax, you need a certificate from your university or college stating that you are a f/t student. You can also claim further benefits for housing. and if his ADHD problem is actually officially a disability then he can also claim disability allowance from your LEA LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY.
