How much is the Real property Tax in the Philippines?

How can my 2 children skip paying inheritance tax on property that I will give when I return to Philippines?

  • I am working on my retirement back home(5 years more) but I will not sell the house but leave it to my 2 daughters. Will they pay inheritance tax if the market value of the house is close to 300K pounds?

  • Answer:

if you give it to your daughters you dont pay inheritance tax but if you die within seven years your daughters will be come liable to pay the tax the threshold for inheritance tax is £2850000 so you are £15000 over remember you pay tax on the whole amount not just the amount over. if you want to save money see a solictor and have your daughters made TENANTS IN SITUTE i have spelt it wrong but you get the idea then they wont have to pay inheritance tax at all

Inheritance tax is only payable of assets inherited that total more than £300,000 at the time of inheritance. This tax is only payable if inherited because of death or inherited sometime in the previous seven years of death. In other words, leave you house to your kids now but don't die for at least seven years.

Not enough info. Are you UK resident? Are your children UK resident? What is their domicile? Is the house in the UK? If you are all UK resident then you will need to leave the UK and not return for at least 5 years, during which time you can gift the property to them without being liable for UK CGT. See an accountant.

I don't get points any more

If you give them the houses 7 years before you die then they will not pay any inheritance tax. But you have to do it before you leave the country and you will probably have to check what other laws apply as you are emigrating.

Give them the title to the house at least ten years before you die. Mke it over to them now, and live rent free till you moveWork out who pays council tax, utilities and insurance.

They won't pay inheritance tax as you won't be dead. But they will be liable for capital gains tax which amounts to the same thing. See a financial advisor who will explain how to dispose of your property legally.
